The Broker — What It Is
TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It means the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. It is more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, the breadth is solid.
The Software
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both matters. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 before, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people prefer it after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is there for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is apparently in the works. That should make the platform set when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Good for beginners.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. TabTrade does not.
VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is the thing Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at hundreds of milliseconds.
Should you care? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Combine those fill times with the Edge account pricing and what you get is strong. Not many platforms in this bracket offer execution like this.
Safety
Here is the thing that matters. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should inform how you think about it.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. What you get instead: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that works comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
Tab Trade has bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You put money in, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before you deposit.
